OUR STORY
Two Australian brothers, both esteemed Master herbalists, embarked on a mission to create a moisturizing skin cream with a unique purpose—to aid individuals in regaining confidence and minimizing scarring from skin burns and surgeries.

This cream was meticulously crafted to be compatible with hospital garments used on burned skin, considering that many oil-based skin creams on the market can damage such garments. The typical oil content in these creams often breaks down the fabric of the garments, making them less effective in a hospital setting.

The journey began with tragedy when one of the herbalist brothers, along with his two siblings, experienced the horrifying Bali bombing incident. Suffering fatal injuries, the herbalist fought for his life for 24 hours at the Darwin hospital emergency, enduring 65 days in a coma at the Adelaide hospital. Miraculously surviving, he and one of his brothers, who also faced injuries and burns, persevered through the aftermath. Sadly, they lost their third brother, a truth withheld until the surviving brother fully recovered and emerged from intensive care. Subsequently, he was transferred from the Adelaide hospital to the Sydney burns unit at Concord hospital.

The research and development of the skincare cream commenced in 2004. By 2006, following approval from the hospital's ethical committee, a pilot study evaluating the moisturizing effectiveness and suitability for skin burns, scars, and skin grafts was conducted by the Hospital/University. Upon obtaining positive results, a pilot itchiness study ensued. The journey to introduce the innovative EYRA organic/natural skincare products spanned years due to a commitment to developing formulations that were eco-friendly, devoid of harmful synthetic chemicals and preservatives, and suitable for all skin types, conditions, and ages.
